Equinor ($EQNR) Q2 Earnings and Revenue Below Forecasts; Dividend Announced

Wednesday, Equinor ASA (NYSE: EQNR) reported its second-quarter results before the bell.

The firm announced adjusted earnings of $1.33 per share for the quarter, missing Wall Street estimates by $0.06 versus projected earnings of $1.39 per share.

Equinor recorded quarterly revenue of $34.02 billion, underperforming analyst projections of $35.34 billion by $1.32 billion.

In the second quarter, Equinor reported an adjusted operating income of USD 11.48 billion and USD 3.44 billion after tax. The results are primarily impacted by higher liquid prices globally and European gas prices, partially offset by lower US gas prices.

The board of directors has decided a cash dividend of USD 0.39 per share for the second quarter 2026.

Anders Opedal, President and CEO of Equinor ASA said: “Strong production in the second quarter enabled us to capture value from higher prices, contributing to strong cash flow and financial results.”

In pre-market trading, Equinor is up 3.91 percent to a price of 39.07. This represents a gain of 1.47 from the previous close of 37.60, as the shares continue to trade between their 52-week low of 22.26 and high of 43.46.
