MSC Industrial Direct ($MSM) Reports Higher EPS and Revenue In Q3; Guidance Maintained

On Wednesday, MSC Industrial Direct Co (NYSE: MSM) reported its third-quarter results before market open. Revenue and earnings increased compared with a year earlier, both surpassing analyst expectations.

The enterprise announced adjusted earnings of $1.43 per share for the quarter, ahead of analyst projections of $1.26 per share and above earnings of $1.08 per share reported a year earlier.

Quarterly revenue improved to $1.05 billion from $971.15 million reported in the prior-year quarter, while also coming in ahead of Wall Street expectations of $1.03 billion.

Operating income for the third quarter was $106.7 million, or $111.2 million on an adjusted basis. The operating margin stood at 10.2 percent, or 10.6 percent on an adjusted basis.

For the fourth quarter, the company anticipates ADS growth of 6.5 percent to 8.5 percent and an adjusted operating margin of 10.0 percent to 10.8 percent.

Full-year fiscal 2026 outlook includes depreciation and amortization expense of approximately $100 million, interest and other expenses of around $30 million, capital expenditures of about $90 million, free cash flow conversion of approximately 95 percent, and a tax rate of 24.5 percent to 25.5 percent.

In pre-market trading, MSC Industrial Direct Co., Inc. (NYSE: MSM) is up 6.35 percent to a price of 126.50. This reflects an increase of 7.55 from the previous close of 118.95.
