Tuesday, 3M Company (NYSE: MMM) reported its second-quarter results pre-market.
The enterprise posted adjusted earnings of $2.40 per share for the latest quarter, surpassing Wall Street expectations of $2.25 per share.
For the reported quarter, the enterprise generated revenue of $6.50 billion, exceeding analyst expectations of $6.40 billion.
Earnings rose 11.1 percent and revenue increased 5.5 percent compared to a year earlier.
In the second quarter, the adjusted operating income margin was 24.9 percent, an increase of 40 basis points year-on-year.
3M Company provided guidance for the upcoming period, outlining earnings projections for the fiscal year 2026 in the range of $8.80 to $8.95 per share, compared with analyst expectations of $8.75 per share.
Revenue projections were set between $23.19 billion and $25.37 billion, versus consensus estimates of $25.15 billion.
The company updated its full-year 2026 guidance, projecting adjusted total sales growth of more than 4.5 percent and adjusted organic sales growth of more than 3.5 percent.
Adjusted operating income margin expansion is expected to be between 70 and 80 basis points. Adjusted operating cash flow is projected to be between $5.8 billion and $6.0 billion, contributing to more than 100 percent adjusted free cash flow conversion.
