Delta Air Lines ($DAL) Q2 EPS and Revenue Beat; FY26 Guidance Positive

Shares of Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) gained attention on Friday after the company posted second quarter results that came in ahead of Wall Street expectations and above prior-year levels.

Delta Air Lines recorded adjusted earnings of $1.56 per share in the latest quarter, outperforming analyst estimates of earnings of $1.48 per share by $0.08.

The latest quarterly results included revenue of $19.76 billion, with sales coming in $2.24 billion above analyst estimates of $17.52 billion.

The company posted lower quarterly earnings compared with the prior-year quarter, while revenue rose 18.7 percent year over year.

Projecting future performance, Delta Air Lines released forward earnings outlook for the fiscal year 2026 at $6.50 to $7.50 per share, compared with analyst estimates of $5.93 per share.

Also, The organization earnings estimate range for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026 at $2.00 to $2.50 per share, compared with analyst estimates of $1.99 per share.

Ed Bastian, Delta’s chief executive officer, stated, “Delta is executing from a position of strength, and we expect momentum to carry into the second half with double-digit margins and a return to earnings growth. For the full year, we are affirming the guidance we set at the start of the year to grow earnings by 20 percent, overcoming a multi-billion dollar fuel headwind. This reinforces Delta’s durability while positioning us to continue our momentum into 2027.”
