Q4 Financials: Daktronics ($DAKT) Outperforms on EPS and Revenue

On Wednesday, Daktronics (NASDAQ: DAKT) reported its fourth-quarter results before the bell. The company exceeded market expectations with its financial performance, showing an increase compared to a year earlier.

Daktronics posted adjusted earnings of $0.27 per share for the latest quarter, surpassing Wall Street expectations of $0.20 per share by $0.07.

The company generated revenue of $208.61 million for the quarter, which was $3.34 million higher than analyst estimates of $205.27 million. Earnings increased by 50.0 percent and revenue rose 20.9 percent from the prior-year period.

In the fourth quarter, gross profit margin was 28.0 percent, up from 25.0 percent a year earlier. The operating margin improved to 6.8 percent compared to a negative margin of 1.0 percent in the same period last year.

For fiscal 2026, Daktronics recorded a full-year EPS of $0.92, compared to a loss per share of $0.21 in the prior year. The full-year adjusted EPS was $1.05, up from $0.84 in fiscal 2025.

The firm reported a gross profit as a percentage of net sales of 27.3 percent for fiscal 2026, compared to 25.8 percent in the previous year. The operating margin for the year was 7.3 percent, an increase from 4.4 percent in fiscal 2025.

As of May 2, 2026, Daktronics had cash and cash equivalents totaling $131.6 million. The company repurchased 1.4 million shares of common stock at an average price of $17.80, totaling $25.4 million in share repurchases during fiscal 2026.

Shares of Daktronics, Inc. (NASDAQ: DAKT) are up 11.13 percent in pre-market trading, reaching a price of 21.26. This represents an increase of 2.13 from the previous close of 20.11. The shares continue to trade between their 52-week low of 13.30 and high of 28.27.
