Jefferies ($JEF) Q2 EPS Misses; Revenue Falls Short

Wednesday, Jefferies Financial (NYSE: JEF) announced its second quarter results after the closing bell.

The company’s quarterly performance included adjusted earnings of $1.03 per share, improving from earnings of $0.47 per share reported a year ago but trailing analyst forecasts of earnings of $1.16 per share.

Jefferies Financial posted quarterly sales of $2.21 billion for the latest quarter, trailing Wall Street estimates of $2.30 billion despite year-over-year growth.

The Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend equal to $0.40 per Jefferies common share, payable on August 28, 2026 to record holders of Jefferies common shares on August 18, 2026.

Richard Handler, CEO, and Brian Friedman, President, stated, “The continued acceleration in our core businesses during the second quarter drove record first half net revenues in Advisory, total Investment Banking, Equities, total Capital Markets and combined Investment Banking and Capital Markets. We expect to build further on this momentum in coming periods.”
