Ennis ($EBF) Q1 EPS Matches, Revenue Beats; Revenue Up YoY

Ennis (NYSE: EBF) reported improved first quarter sales and earnings pre-market, benefiting from stronger year-over-year business trends and favorable analyst comparisons.

The company posted earnings of $0.39 per share for the latest quarter, improving from earnings of $0.38 per share reported during the same period last year and matching analyst expectations of earnings of $0.39 per share.

Revenue for the quarter came in at $98.62 million, compared with $97.20 million reported a year ago, while analyst expectations stood at $98.20 million.
