Gix Internet Ltd. (Nasdaq: GIXI) has expanded its robotic logistics project at Sheba Medical Center, Israel's largest hospital, by deploying autonomous robots operated by its subsidiary, deliverz.ai, to handle blood and bone marrow deliveries.
The initiative enhances the existing system for delivering chemotherapy medications by adding workflows that transport bone marrow specimens from the hematology department to the laboratory and donated blood from the donation center to the blood bank.
This development aims to reduce transport delays, improve traceability, and shorten laboratory turnaround times, thereby supporting earlier availability of diagnostic results and improving operational efficiency.
Deliverz.ai's technology leverages artificial intelligence to manage logistics tasks, coordinating both autonomous robots and human resources to optimize last-mile logistics in complex environments.
The platform is designed for autonomous execution of logistics missions, offering centralized management and control to ensure timely and secure deliveries.
Amir Nardimon, Chief Executive Officer of Gix, said, “We are moving Physical AI from technology demonstrations into real-world, life-critical operations. The expansion of our project at Sheba to include blood and bone marrow deliveries demonstrates how a single, unified orchestration platform can support a growing range of hospital logistics use cases, coordinating autonomous robots and human teams in one of the most complex operating environments.”
